Trial Station Opening: Highlights

On May 6, 2025, a key milestone was celebrated in Rosche, Germany: the official opening of the new trial station for potato storage and sprout suppression, jointly developed by TASC International (Germany) GmbH and UK-based partner DormFresh Ltd.
In front of approximately 100 guests from agriculture, science, politics, and trade, Lars Willem Köpp (TASC) and John Forsythe (DormFresh) ceremoniously cut the red ribbon. The new facility features cutting-edge technology – including six gas-tight storage boxes with automated monitoring and control of temperature, humidity, CO₂ levels, and more.

The station is focused on real-world trials of innovative sprout suppression techniques. The aim is to establish new standards for quality assurance and sustainability – at a time when traditional agents like CIPC are no longer permitted in the EU. For DormFresh, the station is an essential step toward EU approval of new sprout suppressants. For TASC, as an international potato trader, it means greater expertise, fewer losses, and more control across the supply chain.

A heartfelt thank-you to all guests, partners and supporters who made this day possible – and to the team on site for a smooth and professional execution!
